Custom Hats!

Yay - hats!!

4th of July @ Inwood, Iowa

I was invited and attended the 4th of July Celebration in Inwood, Iowa and boy was it a beautiful day!!  With a great booth location..... always in the shade, slight breeze, near playground (for my boys) and restrooms, plus great visibility ~ it was an enjoyable day to sit, sell and celebrate this Independence Day!  Clowns, tractors, candy, yummy apple pie made by someone's grandma..... it was a wonderful day and I'm so glad I went.

It just so happens I was asked to have a booth at a new craft store being built in Rock Valley, Iowa.  Flattered and extremely excited ~ I'll sit down with my accountant (my husband) and see what the numbers say and if it makes sense for us to do this.  What a nice, big step.... hopefully soon, I'll be spreading the word of our debut booth in an actual store.  We'll see how things go!!

Please excuse the crass plastic tub - it's holding the pacifier clips I am selling.  I will find some creative way to make it more fun & presentable before the next craft show I have.  

Aren't you in love with my embroidered table cloths??  My lovely, sweet grandma made those for me!  She's such a big support, I don't know what I'd do without her.  

Siouxland Artisans Festival

Had a great day at the first ever Siouxland Artisan Festival!!  Heather did a great job putting it on and it was a beautiful day (other than a horrific, gusting wind).  I tied down my canopy to my van and then I KNEW I was safe and wouldn't fly away with my goodies!!

Attendance was a bit small but for a first time event, not too shabby!!  Our spot was conveniently located near the food, restrooms and music so I was fully entertained and taken care of all day!!  Due to my (6 year old) help for the day, I had done more work to entertain him than taking pictures of my products or booths.  Unfortunately I have no pic's from that day.  Bummer.

I'm thankful to be invited and have went to the first ever Siouxland Artisans Showcase and will go to it every year that Heather plans on putting it on!  Had a great time, hiccups and all!!

SF Flea Market

So the Flea Market has come and gone.... I am pretty proud of myself with how things went.  I don't do well with people "judging" and looking at my things... I take things way too personal.  Good thing, though, was that I heard nothing but good comments and praise.  So thank you, everyone... for either liking my hats or for being really sweet and acting like you do.  

Here's a few pictures of my table and the set up.  

(I apologize for the horrible white-out photoshopping job, but with all the other tables and items, it was very difficult to see my items... even standing right in front of my table.  So I tried to make it a little easier to see.)

These were taken the 2nd day... because I totally forgot I had brought my camera with.  So there are quite a few hats missing, that I had sold the first day.  My table was very full the first day.  Still looks pretty nice, if you ask me.

This hat has many many small ruffles on it... the whole hat. It's adorable... can streatch to fit an adult, but perfect for a child.

Due to the pattern on this one, this hat is a tight fit but sized for a child.  It's thick, so it'll definitely keep you warm.

Micah is very fond of the lime green bug hat with blue antenna's.  Carter is wearing the blue striped bug hat with green antenna's (above) and below is the girl version... mixture of bright pink, lime green and white.  Adorable!  The 2 Carter is wearing are sized for children, Micah's can fit a child loosely or an adult just right.

Spongebob hat - - blue & yellow...with a giant spongebob ribbon running around it.  Small tan band on the inside for a snug fit, but to appear loose.  Too cute!

Love this hat!  It's multi-colored throughout with a burnt orange stripe from the top down one side.  A large pendant hangs from it.  It's an adult sized hat, so as you can see it's a bit loose on Micah.

And adorable toddler or small girls hat... it's a soft, very lightly colored, multi-color yarn with a cute pink ribbon.  This one is just too cute!  (My poor boys.. modeling these girl hats.)  lol

I get a 'ducky' feeling when I see this hat... it's white, blue & yellow with a white brim & ball on top. 

(Just ignore the silly face....  he's 2. Need I say more?)

This is SO cute!  It's a mixture of white, lt pink and rose colors.... simple pattern on top and then several rows of ruffles near the brim.  There's a small elastic band sewn on the inside to keep it snug to your head.  Fits adults or a bit loose on a child.  (Carter looks pretty cute in pink, huh?)  hehehe
